Introduction

This section on the web site is designed to help users understand the concept of Computers as Mindtools which originated with David Jonassen.  Even 10 years after it was published (even longer than 10 years for the first edition), his book is one of the most clear articulations of the tools and approaches that can lead to effective technology-rich education.

Read and use this section from two perspectives; First, consider the content, the concept of Mindtools gives sound approach to using technology in any classroom.  Second, consider the organization.  This is my attempt to model how one should go about professional development in summer institutes.
