Working with Text

On PowerPoint slides, text is contained in objects called text boxes.   When inserting a new card, authors can choose slide layouts from the task pane that have pre-formatted text boxes that are added to new slides.

PowerPoint is programmed to automatically change the font size of text to ensure all text fits within the bounds of the slide.

Authors who wish to further edit the appearance of text can use the text toolbar or the font dialogue box (which is under the format menu).  Those controls function just as text editing controls in other applications; select the text, apply the formatting.
