Haiku:
Exploring a form of poetry


Introduction: 

Haiku is a form of poetry which originated in Japan.  Haikus have three lines, the first has 5 syllables, the second has 7 syllables, and the last has 5 syllables.






The Task:

Visit the pages linked in the resources section; each contains a picture.  Compose a Haiku based on your observations of the picture.

With a group of 2 classmates, present a collection of your Haikus to the class.  Your presentation may take ny form including a recording, web page or booklet.
